Identifies hospitalised patients at high risk for cardiac arrest within 24 hours using four vital sign thresholds.

Score interpretation

Low Risk 0–3

CART < 4: Low risk for cardiac arrest within 24 hours.

→ Routine monitoring. Reassess if clinical condition changes.

High Risk for Cardiac Arrest 4–30

CART ≥ 4: High risk for cardiac arrest within 24 hours. Immediate evaluation warranted.

→ Urgent clinical review. Consider escalation of care. ICU assessment. DNAR discussion if appropriate.
