Diagnose
Excessive anxiety + worry on most days for ≥6 months + ≥3 of: restlessness, fatigue, poor concentration, irritability, muscle tension, sleep disturbance. Differentials: depression (often co-existing), panic disorder, social anxiety, OCD, PTSD, hyperthyroidism, phaeo, substance use, withdrawal, CV (palpitations), respiratory.
Use GAD-7 score (≥15 severe).
