Paediatric Weight Estimation (APLS)

Estimates weight in children for drug dosing when actual weight unavailable. APLS 2021 formula.

Use decimals for infants under 1 year (e.g. 0.5 = 6 months, 0.25 = 3 months)

APLS estimated weight. Use actual weight when available — estimated weight for EMERGENCY calculations only.

→ This is an ESTIMATE ONLY. Verify with actual weight as soon as possible. For neonates (< 1 month): birth weight ± 10%. Use Broselow tape as alternative.
