Assess Flare
History: pattern (luminal, fistulising, stricturing), location, prior surgery/medications. Examine: abdo, perianal, weight, fistulae. Bloods: FBC, U&E, LFTs, CRP, ESR, ferritin, B12, folate, vitamin D, faecal calprotectin. Exclude infection (stool MC&S, C diff, parasites). Imaging: CT/MRE for stricture, abscess, fistula. Endoscopy for mucosal assessment. Use Harvey-Bradshaw Index (HBI) for severity.
