The ClinCalc Pro app is published by ZXMEDIX LIMITED (CRO 819168), a company registered in Ireland, registered office 5 St Patrick's Close, Kilkenny, R95 KWN6. We are the data controller for the limited data described below.
1. Overview
ClinCalc Pro is a clinical reference and decision-support app for qualified healthcare professionals. It is offline-first: calculators, drug references and pathways work without an internet connection and without sending any data. Only the AI Differential Diagnosis feature uses the network. There are no accounts, no advertising and no analytics or tracking in the app.
2. Data stored only on your device
- •App preferences (theme, text size)
- •Favourite calculators, drugs and pathways, and calculation history
- •Your AI Differential query history
- •Trial and purchase status
- •A random identifier the app creates for AI daily limits (see section 3)
This data stays in the app's private storage on your device. Apart from the random identifier, it is never sent to us or to anyone else. You can delete it at any time by clearing the app's data in your device settings or with the "Clear History" options in the app.
3. AI Differential Diagnosis
When you use AI Differential Diagnosis, the clinical details you enter (age, sex, presenting complaint, vital signs, examination findings, history, specialty) are sent over an encrypted HTTPS connection to our server at clincalcpro.com. Our server forwards them to an AI provider to generate the differential and returns the result to the app. The provider is currently Moonshot AI (Kimi); if it is unavailable, the request may be sent to Anthropic (Claude) instead.
- •Our server does not store the clinical details you submit.
- •To enforce daily usage limits it records your IP address and the app's random identifier (not linked to your name, email or device) with a count of queries. These records are deleted after 48 hours.
- •We log aggregate token counts for cost monitoring. These contain no clinical content.
- •The AI provider processes the request on our behalf, and its own privacy and data-retention terms apply to that processing: Moonshot AI (Kimi) · Anthropic.
- •These providers are based outside the European Economic Area, so the clinical details you submit may be processed outside the EEA. This is why you must never enter patient-identifiable information (section 4).
- •As with any website, our hosting provider's web servers keep standard access logs (including IP addresses) for security and operations.
4. Patient data — important
Never enter patient-identifiable information
Do not enter names, dates of birth, hospital numbers, addresses or any other identifying information. Use anonymised clinical descriptions only (e.g. "55-year-old male with chest pain").
5. Purchases
The one-time unlock is processed entirely by Google Play. We never see or store your payment details; Google's privacy policy governs the transaction. The app only checks with Google Play whether you own the unlock.
6. What we do not collect
- •Your name, email address or contact details (there are no accounts)
- •Location, contacts, photos, files or data from other apps
- •Health data from device sensors or Health Connect
- •Analytics, advertising identifiers or tracking of any kind
7. Sharing
We do not sell, rent or trade any data. The only parties involved are our AI providers — Moonshot AI (Kimi) and, as a fallback, Anthropic — processing AI Differential requests on our behalf, and Google (processing purchases through Google Play).
8. Security and retention
- •Everything the app sends is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS).
- •On-device data: kept until you clear the app's data or uninstall the app.
- •AI requests: not retained by us. Usage-limit records: deleted after 48 hours.
9. Your rights (GDPR)
If you are in the EEA or the UK you have the right to access, delete, port and object to the processing of your personal data. Because almost nothing is held by us, most requests are met by clearing the app's data on your device, and the usage-limit records delete themselves within 48 hours. To make a request, contact us using the details below. You may also complain to the Data Protection Commission (Ireland).
10. Children
ClinCalc Pro is intended for healthcare professionals and medical students aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

We will post any change on this page and update the "Last updated" date above.
