Definition + Initial Assessment
Pulmonary nodule = focal opacity ≤30 mm. Larger = mass. Establish patient context: age, smoking, previous malignancy, immunocompromised, exposures (asbestos, dust). Compare with prior imaging if available — 2 years stable strongly favours benign.
