Classifies ankle fractures by mechanism (supination vs pronation) and stage of ligament/bone injury. Guides surgical vs conservative management.
Score interpretation
→ Conservative: CAM boot or below-knee cast; weight-bearing as tolerated; no surgery needed if stable
→ Conservative management; reassess with stress views if unstable
→ ORIF fibula + medial; plate and screw fixation; assess syndesmosis
→ ORIF: fibula fixation + medial repair + posterior if >25%; syndesmosis screw; 6 weeks non-weight-bearing
