Assess Fracture Risk

Indications: women ≥65, men ≥75, anyone with risk factors + age ≥50 (previous fragility fracture, family hx hip fracture, BMI <19, oral steroids ≥3 months ≥7.5 mg/day, smoking, alcohol >3 units/day, falls, secondary causes). Use FRAX (UK) or QFracture — 10-year risk of hip + major osteoporotic fracture. NOGG threshold: high → treat; intermediate → DEXA; low → lifestyle only.
