PSA Doubling Time (PSADT) Calculator

Calculates PSA velocity and doubling time for men with prostate cancer or rising PSA. PSADT <10 months after prostatectomy suggests systemic progression. Requires ≥2 PSA measurements.

Score interpretation

Slow Doubling (≥15 months) ≥ 15

PSADT ≥15 months — slow rise; lower risk of systemic progression

→ Continue regular PSA surveillance; reassess clinical and imaging status

Intermediate Doubling (10–14 months) 10–14.9

PSADT 10–14 months — intermediate concern

→ Closer monitoring; consider PSMA PET-CT staging; discuss systemic therapy with urology/oncology

Rapid Doubling (<10 months) 0–9.9

PSADT <10 months — rapid PSA rise; higher risk of systemic recurrence

→ Urgent urology/oncology review; PSMA PET-CT scan; consider early ADT or radiotherapy; clinical trial consideration

Interpretation bands for the PSA Doubling Time. Apply clinical judgement and local guidance.
