IPS-E — International Prognostic Score for Early CLL
Predicts time to first treatment (TTT) in Binet Stage A (early) chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL).
Score interpretation
IPS-E 0: 12-year treatment-free rate ~72%. Excellent prognosis.
→ Watch and wait. Monitor every 3–6 months. No treatment needed.
IPS-E 1: 12-year treatment-free rate ~51%. Intermediate time to treatment.
→ Watchful waiting with closer monitoring (every 3–6 months). Discuss clinical trial options.
IPS-E 2–3: 12-year treatment-free rate ~17%. High probability of requiring early treatment.
→ Consider early treatment trial enrolment. Frequent monitoring (every 3 months). Discuss BTK inhibitors.
Interpretation bands for the IPS-E. Apply clinical judgement and local guidance.
