Reynolds Risk Score for Women

Predicts 10-year cardiovascular event risk in women ≥ 45 years without prior CVD, adding hsCRP and family history to traditional risk factors.

Used in: Hypertension

Leave as No if non-diabetic

Score interpretation

Low 10-Year CVD Risk 0–4

Reynolds Risk < 5%: Low risk for major cardiovascular events over 10 years.

→ Lifestyle modification. Annual reassessment of risk factors.

Intermediate 10-Year CVD Risk 5–9

Reynolds Risk 5–9%: Intermediate risk. Consider statin therapy based on LDL levels and other factors.

→ Lifestyle modification. Statin therapy consideration. Discuss aspirin risks/benefits.

High 10-Year CVD Risk 10–100

Reynolds Risk ≥ 10%: High risk. Statin therapy recommended regardless of LDL level.

→ Statin therapy. Blood pressure control. Smoking cessation. Aspirin if appropriate.
